# Get Started

## How to Access the ODCs

By design, the functions and appearance of the user interface are the same on [odc-sci.org](https://odc-sci.org/) and [odc-tbi.org](https://odc-tbi.org/). The tutorials found in this section are applicable to users of both ODCs.

Users can create an account from the homepages of [odc-sci.org](https://odc-sci.org) or [odc-tbi.org](https://odc-tbi.org) - click the prompts "Get Started" (Tier 1 - Basic Access), "Join Community" (Tier 2 - Community Access), or "Join Lab" (Tier 3 - Full Access) to get started. If you are a member of both research communities, you will need to create an account on each site.

If you selected the Full Access option when creating your account, you will need to join an existing Verified Laboratory's Lab Space or register to create a new Lab Space to unlock your ability to upload, share, and publish datasets.

Successfully logging in takes you to your dashboard - this is your personal home page on the ODC. Here you will find links to: user functions, the Lab Spaces you've joined, the datasets you've uploaded, the Public Space (to view/download published data), and "Commons Data" - a unique feature that evaluates your Account Type, Lab Space membership(s), and Lab Space User Level(s) to create a curated feed of all datasets accessible to you.&#x20;
